A type of dangerous incorporeal undead, created when a cursed young woman is decapitated in a occult ritual. The Headless Maiden is the ghost of a very pretty young woman who is envious and spiteful toward the living. One notable feature is that the ghost's head is separated from it neck by a clean bloodless wound. A Headless Maiden usually carry her head in her hands, but she can potentially allow it float right above her decapitated neck. They usually appears torn dresses, antique clothing or even completely nude. The mindset of a headless maiden changed and warped to pure spite and envy toward the living.

They typically seek to possess a victim, greatly preferring human female over other targets, to live again. Once they are done with a victim, they will usually seek leave them in a deadly situation if possible (such as leaping off a bridge or standing in front of an incoming carriage) or outright abandon them in the street before seeking another body.

A Headless Maiden is somewhat slow and use her aura to make her victims fall and trip, if attacked by a ghost-touched or holy weapon it will make a quick retreat.They are only invisible when possession or standing still and as a result attempt to catch their foes off-guard.

Aura of Dread and Uneasiness (Ex): All creatures not immune to fear within 30 feet of a Headless Maiden is both At Bay from her and Clumsy.

Body Possession (Su): As a move action the headless maiden may enter the space of a corporeal creature and take control of it body, this ability behave as control body and control voice which last as long as the Headless Maiden stay in the same space as the target. When the body she is possessing move, the headless maiden move alongside it, however effect which can move an incorporeal creature may end the possession by moving the headless maiden.

A DC 20 Will save negate the effect of Body Control and prevent the headless maiden's movement inside the character's square. While she is using this ability, the Headless Maiden has access to all the senses of the possessed target. This effect last indefinitely, until the headless maiden leave by her own free will or if forced out.

Cursed Touch (Ex): As a standard action a Headless Maiden may replicate the effect of bestow curse except that it only last 1 minute. A DC 20 Will save negate the effect.

Howl of the Damned (Su): As a standard action, a Headless Maiden can scream a horrible wail that can literally freeze the blood of the living. All living creatures in a 10 feet radius around her must make a DC 20 Will save or become Panicked for 1d4 rounds, on a success they are instead Shaken for the same duration. On a natural 1 or 2 on the Will save the creature must also make a DC 20 Fortitude or fall under the effect of freeze blood. Once used a Headless Maiden must wait 5 rounds before using Howl of the Damned again. This is a [Fear] [Mind-Affecting] effect.

Naturally Invisible (Su): A headless maiden is under the constant effect of persistent invisibility as long as she stand still or is using her Body Possession ability.

Rejuvenation (Ex): A Headless Maiden rejuvenate as a Geist.

Spectral Blood (Su): As a standard action, a Headless Maiden may let a geyser of spectral blood spew from her decapitated neck in a 15-ft cone-shaped burst. All creatures caught in it must make a DC 20 Reflex save or fall prone. The area and creature caught are considered to be coated in grease, however it quickly evaporate into ectoplasm over the course of 1 minute.

Throw Head (Ex): As as a move action the Headless Maiden can throw her head within 50 feet, her head deliver Howl of the Damned and also carry her Aura of Dread and Uneasiness in addition to her body. The head may be attacked as if it was the body, but is of fine size instead of medium. As a free action the Headless Maiden may return her head to her body, no matter it current position.

Unholy Restriction (Ex): A Headless Maiden is cursed by nature of her creation, they cannot enter any room or open any door with a holy symbol on it nor can they remove it, even with their possessed body. In addition they are At Bay from creature wearing or wielding them.
