You attempt to briefly partition the mind of your foe similar to personality parasite, calving off a minor personality that is antagonistic to the main personality. The second personality functions with complete autonomy from the main personality, and even has limited control over the body. It can take one standard or move action each round, be it casting a spell or making an attack roll, in the same turn that the subject takes its normal actions. This does not inhibit the main personality from acting as normal, they do not lose any actions.

The hostile schism makes attacks and casts spells or manifests powers using the subject's own abilities and ability scores, but it makes these attacks with a -3 to attack, -3 to caster level, or -3 to manifester level as appropriate. The hostile schism actively attempts to make actions that negatively impact the subject, using the highest-level powers possible (so as to deplete the subject’s power point reserve), moving them into harms way, or attacking oneself with a weapon, whatever is the most deadly to the subject. You do not have control over what the hostile schism does, though it always works against the interest of the subject.

Both minds communicate with each other telepathically. If a creature is targeted by a compulsion or charm effect while under the effect of this power, it can make a second saving throw if the first one fails. If both saving throws fail, then this power ends and the creature is affected by the charm or compulsion effect.

The hostile schism does not gain any advantages if the main personality is subjected to a haste or schism effect.
