Insanity Variant
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Charm 7, Madness 7, Sorcerer/Wizard 7
Components: V, S
Casting time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Target: One living creature
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

The plague doctor's mind was afflicted by a madness that none of us could cure, not at least until we could escape this dark dungeon. If... we could escape.

The affected creature obtains one random major psychosis and two minor psychoses.

Whenever the creature enters combat, they must also make a Will save against the DC of this spell, or be afflicted by confusion of the same caster level. A successful save negates the confusion but not the insanity.

Remove curse does not remove insanity. Greater restoration, heal, limited wish, miracle, or wish can restore the creature.
