Insulated items have thin copper wiring down their sides ending in rubber caps and endpoints. Even if struck by a massive pulse of electromagnetic energy, insulated items seem unaffected. An insulated weapon, armor, or shield has double its hardness against the effects of electrical damage and is treated as non-magnetic and non-metallic for the purposes of spells and other effects (but not against rust). For example, repel metal or stone has no effect on an insulated item.

Faint Transmutation; CL 5th; Craft Magic Arms and Armor, resist energy; Price: 500 gp.
