ATTENTION, THIS REALM IS NOW UNDER THE CONTROL OF LUNA-TESLA. SURRENDER, OR FACE TERMINATION.

The Luna-Tesla Corporation ultimately was a military company, and they exceeded at robotics, even replacing the soldiers and infantry and transforming them into small-scale mecha equipped with dozens of weapons and the versatility of the human body. They are shaped like humanoids in heavy armor, with four glowing optics for eyes, an impressive set of pauldrons where its shield generators lay, and small pylons on their back acting as heat sinks to regulate their nuclear core.

The Ironman-163 heavy combat android stands at about 8 ft tall and weighs 1000 lbs. They speak in deep commanding male voices to inspire intimidation and obedience.

Combat[edit]

The heavy combat android is not exactly quiet, but in the roar of battle it can "hide" by moving behind hills and buildings using its perfect maneuverability.

Heavy combat androids are proficient with all weapons (including exotic weapons) and shields (including tower shields).

Death Throes (Ex): The heavy combat android can choose to detonate itself as a non-action when it drops to 0 hp or below (typically ejecting its core just before exploding). It detonates in a 20 foot radius fireball that deals bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, and fire damage equal to 1d10 per CR (15d10 damage). Damage reduction and resistance doesn't apply unless the affected target has damage reduction or resistance to all of the damage types, in which case applying the lowest.

It can also do this early, but it must over-ride its safeties and thus is a full-round action.

Eject Core (Ex): The heavy combat android can eject it's brain core as a immediate action, rendering its body inert and immobile and allowing the brain to scurry away and hide on spidery legs. The brain is a Diminutive object with hardness 20 and 40 hp, and an AC of 20 (+6 Dex, +4 size). It has a move speed of 40 feet but can make no other actions other than movement. A recovered brain core can have its body rebuilt at 1/3rd of its cost, and it retains memory of previous events. If the core is present during death throes it is automatically destroyed. You can attempt to hack into a brain core with the Program skill, and in doing so access its memory up to 3 days ago, as well as its most recent command.

Energy Shield (Su): The heavy combat android is covered in a powerful shield, which grants it a +5 deflection bonus to AC, 5 temporary hp per HD (110 hp). The shield recovers at a rate of 10 hp each round. If the shield goes down, it loses the deflection bonus to AC, and the shield remains down for 1 minute before coming back online at full strength.

Hardlight Generator (Su): The heavy combat android has a creation engine which produces hardlight items. It can forge any hardlight weapon or shield and deploy it in the same action as drawing a weapon. Because it is proficient in all weapons and shields it can effectively make any item it needs. These items have a +4 enhancement bonus, but projectile weapons appear without ammunition, which must be loaded on its own. These hardlight items only function in the heavy combat android's grasp, and disintegrate 1 round after leaving its hands.

Intimidator (Ex): The heavy combat android is designed to be scary. It gains full ranks in the Intimidate skill.

Missiles (Su): The heavy combat android has missile pods hidden within its pauldrons. The missiles are tiny, but have good tracking. It effectively has magic missile at will, except the missiles deal combined bludgeoning, piercing, slashing, and fire damage and the missiles explode into a 5 foot radius burst (no save on the damage). It can target objects. If an excessively hot thermal source (such as a fire) is within 30 feet of the chosen target the target gains a 20% miss chance as missiles veer off towards the heat source instead.

Programming: The heavy combat android possesses the following programs: Attack, Calculate, Collect, Communication, Identify Creature, Identify Object, Job Function (any one profession), Protect, Reposition, Search, Self-Preservation, Sort.

Powerful Build (Ex): The physical stature of heavy combat androids lets them function in many ways as if they were one size category larger. Whenever a heavy combat android is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), the heavy combat android is treated as one size larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A heavy combat android is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature’s special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A heavy combat android can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject’s size category.

Proton Cannon (Su): The heavy combat android has a powerful cannon on its chest that it can fire as a full attack action. This is a ranged touch attack out to 400 feet, dealing 1d6 damage per CR (15d6). The damage is untyped.

Construction[edit]

Ironman-163 Heavy Combat Androids are built out of a composite of many different metals, plastics, and alloys which must be processed in a factory. In addition its computer core requires special components and programming. The cost of the base material components are worth 16,000 gp.

Assembling the body requires a DC 30 Craft (technology) check, a DC 30 Knowledge Engineering, or a DC 30 Knowledge Xeno check.

CL 17th; Craft Construct, iron body, lesser geas, magic missile, major creation; Price 160,000 gp; Cost 72,000 gp + 5760 XP.
