You concentrate intently on the foe and peer into his brain. When you do, you learn all of your opponent's variable abilities &mdash; feats, skill tricks, spells known or prepared, powers known, invocations known, maneuvers readied, and soulmelds shaped. For the rest of the encounter, whenever you use any effect on that opponent that would deprive him of one or more of these abilities (temporarily or otherwise), and he would normally be allowed to choose which ones to lose (for instance, a wizard choosing which spell slots are lost to a [[Mind Scrub (3.5e Maneuver)|''mind scrub'']] attack), you make that choice instead.

Using this maneuver provokes attacks of opportunity and requires you to make a [[SRD:Concentration Skill|Concentration]] check if it is interrupted. A creature under the effects of [[SRD:Mind Blank|''mind blank'']] is immune to this maneuver.
