Lone Ranger

You forsake the use of an animal companion in exchange for the ability to engage foes more readily.

Class: Ranger

Prerequisites: Combat Style

Level: 4th

Replaces: Animal Companion

Benefit: Your self-reliance has increase your ability to deal with threats while alone. At 4th level You gain Self-Sufficient as a bonus feat and an ability based on your combat style:

Archery: You can use your ranged weapon as a melee weapon with no penalty. The weapon take on the statistic of the closest melee weapon available, such as a Quarterstaff for a longbow or a Club for a crossbow or short bow. You still benefits from any feat invested into the weapon, such as Weapon Focus when using it melee and the weapon retain any enhancement it had. However enhancement that only apply to ranged attack do not apply to melee attacks.
