Your animal companion may also initiate maneuvers from a favored discipline in your place. This requires you to make a handle animal check (count the maneuver as a trick known by your animal companion). If the maneuver requires a skill check, use your skill ranks but your animal companion's ability scores and skill bonuses. The maneuver is expended just as though you had initiated it. Your animal companion cannot initiate a maneuver during a turn in which you recover expended maneuvers.
The benefits of the ranger’s favored style apply only when he wears light or no armor. He loses all benefits of his combat style when wearing medium or heavy armor.
