From Dungeons and Dragons Wiki
All damage from a weapon with a Merciful Crystal is considered Nonlethal Damage. On command, the weapon crystal suppresses this ability until commanded to resume it. Bows, crossbows, firearms and slings with the weapon crystal attached bestow the merciful effect upon their ammunition.
Faint conjuration; CL 5th; Craft Magical Arms and Armor, cure light wounds; Price: 100 gold.
