You alter the truename of a potion, oil, or scroll and make it stronger than ever before. As part of the casting you activate or consume the item and apply any metamagic effect up to +2 adjustment to the item. For example, you can Extend a potion of barkskin, or Empower a scroll of fireball. This does not apply to command word items like wands and staves.

Reverse: As an immediate action you can target a potion, oil, or scroll of an opponent, applying the metamagic effect in reverse. Extend now halves duration, Empower reduces damage by 50%, and so forth.

Failure: On a failed truespeak check, you can only augment to +1 metamagic.

Primal UtteranceEdit

Normal: You can now augment up to +4 metamagic (though Quicken Spell does you no good, as the activation time supersedes that effect). The duration becomes 24 hours, and you can choose not to activate the consumable item, allowing another creature to activate the augmented item instead of yourself.

Reversed: Instead of an reverse metamagic effect, the consumable has a completely reversed effect (when possible). Cure potions injure, damaging spells heal, effects which cause poison cure poison instead, and so on and so forth.
