1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

A unique weapon consisting of two bulbous metal weights connected by a long chain, the meteor hammer is a flexible weapon designed to be spun around, throwing either end at the opponent or throwing them off guard with a flurry of swings, both ends whirling with the chain in center. The meteor hammer is both a reach weapon and a double weapon, but not at the same time. At the beginning of your turn you may decide which way you wield the weapon:

Falling Moon: The meteor hammer is a reach weapon, throwing one weight while using the other to block and parry attacks. Like most other weapons with reach, it can't be used against an adjacent foe. You gain a +1 shield bonus to AC.

Meteor Shower: You swing both ends of the meteor hammer around wildly, slamming against the ground and your opponents. You lose reach, but may use it as a double weapon.

You can make trip attacks with the meteor hammer. If you are tripped during your own trip attempt, you can drop the meteor hammer to avoid being tripped.

When using a meteor hammer, you get a +2 bonus on opposed attack rolls made to disarm an opponent (including the roll to avoid being disarmed if such an attempt fails).

The meteor hammer is a special monk weapon. This designation gives a monk wielding a meteor hammer special options. Monks are proficient in meteor hammers.
