Minisub

The minisub is the size of a small car and has space for two Medium creatures, an airtight airlock, and the mechanics needed for propulsion, fuel, and life support. Oval shaped with four short stubby wings, and two vents and exhausts for an underwater turboprop engine. When piloted it grants an effective swim speed of 60 ft, protection from the dangers of temperature and pressure from the environment, and a powerful light source that acts as a bullseye lantern underwater, or twice its range at a depth of 600 ft or higher. It possesses two mechanical servo arms that can be controlled from the inside with as much Dexterity as the pilot, with a -2 penalty on any checks requiring fine precise actions, and a tube which can absorb Tiny or smaller objects or creatures from the outside into the pressurized interior tanks safely. Minisubs have a small amount of storage space, typically enough for two armored suits such as a heavy pressure suit and some light snacks. Entering and leaving a minisub is a 1 round action for the airlock to pressurize and depressurize, or a standard action if no such action is needed.

In case of emergency, the minisub may make an emergency surfacing attempt which doubles their movement speed, but only allows them to go straight up. In addition the occupants must make three Fortitude saves, DC 20. One failed save renders the creature sickened for 1 hour, two failed save renders them nauseated for 1 minute, and three failed saves deals 1d8 Constitution damage from the bends.

Some minisubs come with augmentations, and are considered to have the body, arms, ring, and face slots for the purpose of applying magical items to them. The vehicle only benefits while being piloted. Piloting a minisub requires a DC 15 Pilot or Knowledge Engineering check. Minisubs have hardness 10 and 60 hp, but remain intact and able to be repaired (but inert) up to 120 hp. Creatures have total cover while inside. The minisub has AC 9 + the pilot's Dexterity modifier, and the pilot's saves. If wielding items, it can wield items for a Medium sized creature.
