This small hand mirror is made from crystal and polished alchemical silver. Intricate detail work is etched around the frame, though special care was taken into making it durable for travel.
While holding this mirror in one hand and speaking the appropriate command word, the bearer finds it impossible to avert their gaze from the mirror as they become transfixed upon its surface. This effect ends if the mirror is dropped, put away, covered or otherwise made unable to be seen by the holder, or if the command word is spoken again.
The mirror must be visible to the holder for this magic to take effect.
While the holder is transfixed upon the mirror and averting their gaze by its magic in this way, all other creatures are treated as having concealment against the holder, but the holder suffers no risk of accidentally making contact with an opponent creature's gaze attack.
The mirror has hardness 8 and 5 hit points (treated as a one-handed blade for sundering and disarming).
