Originally a creation of the corrupt Primecorp organization to act as militant police officers in preparation for martial law, the project was canceled after the prototype began showing symptoms of free will and compassion. While subsequent models lack free will, the project was still replaced by other more dangerous battle droids and the robotic law enforcer was adopted by others to act as police in places where danger is high and numbers are low.

The Murphy-3 Robotic Law Enforcer is not like normal bots, for technically they are cyborgs. In their core is an organic mind created by a recently slain humanoid, augmented with a metal body and covered in shining silver armor. The original personality is mostly lost, but some say that over time quirks of the original person appear in the behavior of the bot.

Murphy-3 Robotic Law Enforcers are humanoids covered in shining silver armor with a distinctive helmet. They are fully capable of speech, which is a major advantage when constantly interacting with humanity. They are proficient in all weapons and shields (including exotic weapons and tower shields).

CombatEdit

Far smarter and more tactical than a usual bot, the robotic law enforcer could be considered a man-made inevitable. Designed to uphold the law and keep the peace, the robotic law enforcer inspires hope in its allies and terror in its enemies. It will try to take opponents non-lethally, but because of its nonlethal mastery that often requires repeated firing of it's colt python.

Aim (Ex): As a move action, the robotic law enforcer gains the benefits of true strike.

Demoralizing Kill (Ex): Whenever the robotic law enforcer kills a creature or knocks it unconscious with non-lethal damage, it can make an intimidate check to all opponents in 30 ft as an immediate action, with a bonus (or penalty) equal to the difference in HD of you and the creature they dropped. For example, a CR 9 robotic law enforcer which drops a 5 HD opponent makes an intimidate check at a -4 penalty.

Extraordinary Health (Ex): The robotic law enforcer always receives maximum hit points per HD.

Limited Programming: The robotic law enforcer uses its Wisdom score as a stand-in Intelligence score, though it does not gain skills or feats. It is capable of thinking and acting tactically, but has no free will and will follow its programming the best of its ability, using its intelligence to reach the goal with the greatest chance of success. Short term planning and reacting is allowed, but long term planning is usually beyond it.

As a result of its superior intellect, it is capable of taking complex orders up to one paragraph, with multiple exceptions, exclusions, and up to 5 contingencies or if/than statements. However any command done through the program skill override this superior intellect. The robotic law enforcer is considered a complex machine.

Nonlethal Mastery (Ex): The robotic law enforcer can always deal nonlethal damage with its attacks without any penalty to attack.

Ranged Threat (Ex): The robotic law enforcer threatens with ranged weapons out to sneak attack range (typically 30 ft).

Social Programming: The robotic law enforcer requires interaction with people on a regular basis, as well as the need to do police work, paperwork, and have a knowledge of the law. As a result it automatically has full ranks in Intimidate, Listen, Profession Law Enforcement, Sense Motive, and Spot checks.

Spell-Like Abilities (Sp): At will- detect magic, detect chaos, detect evil, detect good, detect heat, detect law, detect power level; 1/day- see invisibility, true seeing.

ConstructionEdit

Murphy-3 Robotic Law Enforcer are difficult to build because one of its main components the gaining a fresh medium or small humanoid body which has not been dead longer than 24 hours. Between the cost of the medical supplies, and the cost of the metals, plastics, and other materials, the cost is 3400 gp beyond the acquisition of the corpse.

Assembling the body requires a DC 24 Heal as well as one of the following; DC 24 Craft (technology) check, a DC 24 Knowledge Engineering, or a DC 24 Knowledge Xeno check.

CL 11th; Craft Construct, animate dead, geas/quest; Price 34,000 gp; Cost 15,300 gp + 1224 XP.
