NecropolitanEdit

There are creatures who have naturally and unnaturally become undead, whether rising from the grave in search of vengeance, having been brought to undeath by the forces of a necromancer, or have been given undeath by the dreaded kiss of a vampire. There are tales though of those who go through a strange and arcane ritual to become undead, or have said ritual forced upon them, forevermore being forced to walk the earth as creatures not quite alive or dead.

There are also rumors of those who have gone through such torment and agony, emotional or physical, that they have rejected their own lives. With a release of power, their very life force drifts away from these exceptions leaving them undead husks of their former selves, retaining their thoughts and emotions but having no pulse or metabolism to speak of.

Creating a NecropolitanEdit

This is an acquired template that can be applied to any corporeal, living creature with an Intelligence of 3 or more (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

Size and TypeEdit

Size and type of the base creature do not change.

Hit DiceEdit

All future and current HD are unchanged.

SpeedEdit

Speed does not change

Armor ClassEdit

As base creature.

AttackEdit

A Necropolitan creature retains all the natural weapons, manufactured weapon attacks, and weapon proficiencies of the base creature.

Special QualitiesEdit

Resist Control (Ex): Necropolitans have a +4 profane bonus on their Will saving throws to resist the effect of a Control Undead spell.

Turn Resistance (Ex): Necropolitans have +4 turn resistance.

Mantle of Undead (Ex): Necropolitans count as undead for the purpose of all spells and abilities that specifically have a changed effect against undead creatures (though they are not immune to Death effects and the like). Thus, they are affected by such spells as Undeath to Death, Stinking Cloud, Finger of Death, Desecrate, and Stone BonesSpC as though they were undead, and are healed by Inflict Light Wounds. The only exception to this is of spells from the Conjuration (Healing) school, which treat them as living creatures.

Lastly, necropolitans have no need to breathe, eat, drink, or sleep (though they must still rest to benefit from natural healing).

AbilitiesEdit

As base creature.
