Distraction (Ex)	Any creature beginning its turn within an opal warp scorpion swarm must succeed on a DC 10 Fortitude save or be nauseated for 1 round. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Opalescent Sense (Su)	An opal warp scorpion can detect the presence of opalescent warp scorpion honey when it's exposed to the air, even across the boundaries of planes. As they crave the deliciousness of this honey, they'll stop at nothing to consume it.
Opalescent Shift (Su)	An opal warp scorpion can plane shift (self only) at will as a swift action supernatural ability. This ability allows them to accurately shift into an area if there is exposed opalescent warp scorpion honey in it.
Opalescent Sting (Ex)	An opal warp scorpion has a stinger which injects a mild injury poison that impairs judgement and perception. As primary damage, this poison deals 2 points of Wisdom (Fortitude save DC 10 to negate) and deals no secondary damage. The save DC is Constitution-based.
Refresh Swarm (Su)	Because opal warp scorpions constantly replenish their numbers, defeating the swarm is difficult. Every round on their turn, the swarm regains all lost HP as new members join into the swarm by plane shifting. The swarm will return from 0 HP or below if there is still opalescent warp scorpion honey available to consume. Once the honey is consumed, the swarm disburses by plane shifting away.
Swarming Bodies (Ex)	An opal warp scorpion swarm always gains maximum HP from its HD.

Strategies, Tactics & Behavior

Opal warp scorpion swarms usually form because they're after their precious opalescent warp scorpion honey. They mindlessly swarm in and devour as much as they can, biting and clawing and stinging at everything that gets in their way. If separated from available honey, they'll head straight for it, often warping across dimensional boundaries to get a taste.

Ecology

Environment: It is unknown where opal warp scorpions come from naturally, if anywhere. When encountered away from honey, it's usually because they're locked inside an area that bars dimensional travel.

Typical Physical Characteristics: a typical opal warp scorpion is roughly the size of a human hand, whitish in color with a sheen that shines yellowish to reddish depending on the light. They're rather stoutly built, with thick limbs and large claws. When amassed in a swarm, their skittering and clambering blankets areas.

Typical Treasure

They don't carry treasure, but a trained individual can attempt to retrieve opalescent warp scorpion honey from a particularly large individual specimen. Occasionally, the creatures are boiled and eaten, tasting something like lobster, but drier.
