Pain Point Monk

Strike key nerves with your blows to inflict pain and break your opponents will to fight.

Class: Monk

Level: 1-19

Replaces: Flurry of Blows, Still Mind, Slow Fall, Purity of Body, Diamond Body, Diamond Soul, Tongue of the Sun and Moon, Empty Body.

Benefit: You gain the following abilities:

Agonizing Rend (Ex): Upon making two successful attacks on the same target, or making a single attack as a full attack action on a target, you send a nerve shock through their body that renders them sickened for 1 round. Creatures immune to pain are immune to this effect. Replaces Flurry of Blows.

Pain Points (Ex): At 3rd level, a monk’s advanced knowledge of humanoid anatomy grants a +1 bonus on critical hit confirmation rolls and increases the DC of his Stunning Fist and quivering palm by 1. Replaces Still Mind.

Wrack Strike (Ex): At 4th level, the monk can induce a painful but ultimately harmless jolt that deals +2 points of non-lethal damage on their unarmed strikes and special monk weapons. This increases by +1 at 8th and every four levels beyond (+6 at 20th). Replaces Slow Fall.

Clarity of Body (Ex): The 5th level monk becomes immune to pain effects. They still feel it, but it does not hamper them. Replaces Purity of Body.

Nerves of Diamond (Ex): The 11th level monk becomes immune to paralysis and stunning. Replaces Diamond Body.

Diamond Vitality (Ex): The 13th level monk becomes immune to staggering and gains the Diehard feat. If they already possess this feat, they can take full round actions, and do not lose hit points if they choose to take only a single move or standard action instead. Replaces Diamond Soul.

Pulse of Intent (Su): The 17th level monk gains telepathy with any creature they touch, and can communicate even without a language, so long as the creature has a nervous system or equivalent, or can feel pain. If used on a corpse that is no more than 24 hours old, it duplicates the effect of speak with dead as you draw the memories from the cooling nerves. Replaces Tongue of the Sun and Moon.

To Feel Nothingness (Ex): The 19th level monk is beyond pain and suffering. Once per day as an immediate action, they can choose to take no damage until the beginning of their next turn. This does not grant immunity to death by non-damaging effects such as petrification. Replaces Empty Body.
