== Patriarch ==

[[Summary::Patriarchs are some of the most ancient and most powerful beings of their race.]]

Patriarchs are wise, powerful members of their race who more than likely lead the others of their race, becoming alpha males, kings, queens, or messiahs. Despite their great age they are not fragile, on the contrary, they seem to become tougher and stronger the longer they live, and the longer they fight.

=== Creating a Patriarch ===

Patriarch is an inherited template that can be added to any living creature with a physical body and an [[SRD:Intelligence|Intelligence]] score of 2 or higher (referred to hereafter as the base creature).

==== Hit Dice ====

Increase base creature’s racial [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]] by one die size, to a maximum of d12. Do not increase [[SRD:Class|class]] [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]]. Additionally, a patriarch creature gains 3 bonus [[SRD:Hit Dice|hit points]] per [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]] it pocesses, past and future.

==== Speed ====

All [[SRD:Movement Speed|modes of movement]] a patriarch creature pocesses are increased by 30 ft.

==== Armor Class ====

Patriarch creatures gain a +8 insight bonus to [[SRD:AC|AC]] and a +8 [[SRD:Armor Class|natural armor]] bonus (if the creature already has [[SRD:Armor Class|natural armor]], use whichever is better).

==== Attacks ====

A patriarch creatures racial [[Base Attack Bonus (Term)|BAB]] increase to become equal to its total [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]] if it wasn't already equal to its total [[SRD:Hit Dice|HD]]. Do not increase [[Base Attack Bonus (Term)|BAB]] granted by [[SRD:Class|class]] levels. Additionally, a patriarch creature never takes a penalty greater than &minus;5 on any [[SRD:Attack Roll|attack roll]].

==== Damage ====

A patriarch creature gains a +5 insight bonus on [[SRD:Attack Damage|Damage rolls]] for all melee and [[SRD:Ranged Attack|ranged attacks]]. Additionally, all damage dealt by a patriarch creature overcomes [[SRD:Damage Reduction|damage reduction]] and [[SRD:Breaking and Entering#Hardness|hardness]].

==== Special Qualities ====

A patriarch creature retains all the special qualities of the base creature and also gains [[SRD:Damage Reduction|damage reduction]] 10/-. If the base creature already has [[SRD:Damage Reduction|damage reduction]], use whichever is better. 

==== Abilities ====

Increase from the base creature as follows: [[SRD:Strength|Str]] +6, [[SRD:Dexterity|Dex]] +6, [[SRD:Constitution|Con]] +6, [[SRD:Intelligence|Int]] +6, [[SRD:Wisdom|Wis]] +6, [[SRD:Charisma|Cha]] +6.

==== Skills ====

The patriarch creature gains a +5 competence bonus on all its [[SRD:Skill Check|skill checks]].

==== Organization ====

Patriarch creatures often to rise to become leaders of their race, becoming icons of strength and will. Groups of multiple patriarchs of the same race are extremely rare, seeing as creatures with the potential to become patriarchs are rare themselves.

Moves one step towards [[SRD:Alignment#Law Vs. Chaos|Lawful]]
