Phantasmal Strike [General] Prerequisites: Spell Focus (Illusion)Benefit: You are able to have your illusion lash out at your opponents, causing phantasmal wounds. As a move action, you can have one of your ongoing illusion (figment) spells start a phantasmal assault against one or more opponents. The figment must be one you retain active control over, such as major image, and the targets must be both visible to you and within or adjacent to the area of your illusion. The use of phantasmal strike immediately dismisses the figment.

You may target a single creature per spell level of the figment. You must either make a melee touch attack or give the targets a saving throw (Fortitude or Reflex) to resist the damage. If you choose a melee touch attack, you use your own melee touch attack bonus, and if you miss, the spell deals no damage. If you choose to allow the target a saving throw, a successful save means it takes half damage. A phantasmal strike deals 1d6 damage per spell level + your casting ability score modifier. The damage is typeless, but creatures immune to mind-affecting effect are immune to this damage.

If the target had not previously interacted with the illusion, using a phantasmal strike against it is considered interacting with it. If a target has previously disbelieved the illusion, then phantasmal strike deals half damage to it. The damage dealt by phantasmal strike may be non-lethal, at the caster’s discretion.
