An advanced type of medium armor, this armor originally made for contact sports, but adapted for adventuring. It is composed of a breastplate, shoulder pads, elbow pads, knee pads, arm guards and sometimes a jockstrap or helmet. The armored part of these outfits are made of a hard shock-absorbing plastic and a flexible plastic with high tensile strength. It is worn over a custom outfit made of tough fabric and some under-padding. The Plastic Plastron is light for its weight class, allowing the wearer to face minimal obstruction of their movement, provide adequate protection and is donned and removed easily.

The Plastic Plastron leaves the legs mostly unobstructed, allowing the wearer to move at his full speed when running or charging. If the speed loss is negated, the wearer gain a +10 bonus to their speed while running or charging thanks to the extra momentum of the armor. It is a potent shock absorber, converting a single point of lethal physical damage into non-lethal damage or negating a single point of nonlethal physical damage when the wearer is struck. This conversion does not happen if the wearer is immune to non-lethal damage or if the attack was a touch attack.

Since the armor parts are made of reinforced plastic, it cannot be made of any metal or wood special material. It can be be made out of [[Dilatantoplastic (3.5e Equipment)|Dilatantoplastic]] or other plastic material.
