Plushie Monk[edit]

One wouldn't think something so soft and cute would be a threat, yet somehow they are. When a plushie monk hits you it feels like an ogre's fist, and with their small nimble moves they are difficult to catch.

Making a Plushie Monk[edit]

Plushie Monks are surprisingly common, perhaps because they like the irony of something so small and soft beating things to death with their plush fists. Unlike normal monks, plushie monks do not need to be lawful, but they do need to stay with their alignment when entering the class, which becomes Any Lawful, Any Chaotic, or Any Neutral on the Good-Evil axis.

Abilities: As base class.

Races: Eijilund Plushie

Alignment: Either Any Lawful, Any Chaotic, or Any Neutral on the Good-Evil axis.

Surprising Force (Ex): Plushies put their entire body into their strikes, and with such speed as to pull out a little extra damage from the attacks. They can choose to strike as a creature one size larger for their unarmed strikes, but all the damage done is non-lethal. As hard as they punch they still can't do more than bruise. Their normal small damage remains lethal.

Burning Fists (Su): At level 4 a monk plushie's blows come so quickly they ignite the doll's highly flammable body. The plushie deals additional fire damage as indicated with their unarmed strikes.

Dodge: At level 6 the plushie monk gains the Dodge feat. If he already has Dodge, the bonus from the feat rises by +2.

Ki Strike (Aligned) (Su): At 10th level a plushie deals aligned damage with their unarmed strikes. As a plushie monk is not always lawful, their aligned strike changes. If they are lawful their strike remains lawful aligned. If chaotic, chaotic aligned. A neutral plushie monk must choose between law and chaos aligned attacks when they obtain this ability.

Alien Mind (Ex): At 11th level a plushie's mind becomes a swirling miasma of thoughts, which while it makes sense to the plushie and aids in quick thinking, is bizarre to others. The plushie becomes immune to mind-affecting (compulsion) effects.

Sudden Jump (Ex): At 17th level a plushie uses it's explosive power to aid in its jumping. By effectively performing a rocket jump, the plushie gains a +20 to their Jump check, and may jump without penalty for not getting a running start. He may release a Go Boom attempt in the same move action to jump, expending it as normal.
