Pretapodr experiences the present completely, and wants good things to last forever.
Pretapodr was born from the minds of people experiencing joy who wanted that joy to last forever. While he can perceive anything anyone perceives, he only vaguely remembers things that have already happened. He revels in the things that are pleasant, and strives to keep them from ending for as long as possible.
It is sometimes said that Pretapodr invented resurrection and the afterlives because he didn't want life to ever end.
Dogma
One certainly should not make sacrifices in the present for a better future, although doing things that are self-destructive in the long term is also a terrible mistake. Except in the most extreme cases of tyranny, Pretapodr supports existing governmental institutions, and encourages all Pretapodres to do the same, by seeking happiness without destroying the comfort and support provided by living under a powerful institution.
Clergy and Temples
Pretapodric temples are generally comfortable places, open to the homeless and destitute, with plenty of spells cast to keep them as habitable and enjoyable as possible. People often remember time spent in Pretapodric temples with fondness. Pretapodric Clerics range from genuinely nice to unctuous and creepy, aiming to please either because they overflow with empathy or because it serves their own selfish interests.
Pantheon
If Pretapodr is in the same setting as Cashooie, there is little doubt that they will be each others' worst enemies.
