Your eldritch blast becomes a randomly flashing rainbow ray.  Roll 1d8 to determine the damage type of your eldritch blast.  On a roll of 8 the eldritch blasts counts as both energy types, requiring resistance or immunity to both to resist.  On a critical hit there is a secondary effect, sometimes with the listed saving throw.  The latter applies even if the creature is immune to critical hits.
