Kolderrim faith.

Red Templar Armor[edit]

Armor once worn by the Papal Knights of Kolderrim, the golden embossing and crimson mantle have come to symbolize the great amounts of plundered wealth and blood indiscriminately shed in the name of God.

  1. If the character has some help, cut this time in half. A single character doing nothing else can help one or two adjacent characters. Two characters can't help each other don armor at the same time.
  2. The wearer must have help to don this armor. Without help, it can be donned only hastily.

Many people associate this armor with divine vengeance, though its heinous reputation amongst those peoples branded heretics by the Church of Kolderrim makes it evident that this is an evil of human making. The red templar armor is a decorated full plate armor with a chain hauberk underlay. The once silvery-gray steel has darkened to an ominous color with the times, like aeons of bloodsheed has seeped into the plate. Though the Church of Kolderrim has long been eradicated from the continent, some say that these many leftover relics still carry a hint of a curse of vengeance, but many successful mercenaries and adventurers swear by the martial capabilities this armor allows them to unleash. The red templar armor is always masterwork; price and benefits are subsumed in the above statistics.

The red templar armor grants the following benefits when worn, on top of its general protective capabilities:

  • A red templar armor counts as a masterwork skill tool for the following skills: Concentration and Martial LoreToB.
  • The amount of bleed you can build up before experiencing bleedout increases by 2. This stacks with other sources of bleed resistance, such as the bloodbite ring.
  • Whenever the blood of enemies splatters across the armor, such as when you make a successful attack roll with a piercing or slashing weapon against a living creature with blood, you regain 1 hit point. Any day during which the blood of an enemy has touched the armor, the armor itself is repaired for 1d4 hit points as well, as the iron within the armor aids to fill up and close any breaks or cracks.
  • This armor has special ties with the Blood Feast martial discipline. You initiate maneuvers of this discipline with a +1 bonus to the save DC.

Craft (armorsmithing and tailoring) DC 27. Market Price 2,100 gp.
