This bull looks like it has a bad temper.

A male cow intended to be ridden for sport or for war, they are fierce beasts indeed. They stand more than 6 ft tall at the shoulder, 9 to 12 ft long, and weigh 1800 to 2400 lbs.

Combat[edit]

Riding bulls charge at their opponents, striking for massive damage and pushing them back. Then they do it again until the thing stops moving.

Buck (Ex): As a move action the riding bull can make an opposed grapple check, but only to break a grapple. Riding bulls are surly creatures which tend to dislike unfamiliar riders. Unless a DC 20 Handle Animal check over 1 minute was made previously to pacify them, riding bulls will buck would be riders off. In this case, the rider opposes the grapple check with their ride check. After 5 successful consecutive attempts to stay on, most riding bulls relent.

Charging Bull Rush (Ex): When a riding bull makes a charge attack, they may make a free bull rush attempt as part of the attack (including the +2 bonus). The riding bull can choose not to follow its target with the bull rush.

Seeing Red (Ex): Supposedly riding bulls hate the color red, though some have speculated this is myth. Even so, they gain a +1 circumstance bonus on attack, damage, and bull rush checks against any creature or object primarily red colored.

Companion[edit]

A riding bull can be selected as a paladin's mount in place of a horse or an animal companion in place of a bison.
