Ritual Sickle

Exotic Light Melee

Cost: 35 gp
Damage (Small): 1d4
Damage (Medium)1: 1d6
Critical: 20/x3
Weight2: 2 lbs
Type3: Piercing or Slashing
HP4: 5
Hardness: 10

1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

Subjected to a secret ritual by exotic druid covens, the resulting sickle remains a mundane item but possesses a few unique traits. It's blade is intertwined with wood (and thus the weapon may be formed of either metal or wood, but not both, and counts as either for all purposes). It also gives a +2 circumstance bonus on Survival checks and similar checks made to find and harvest plants. Druids, rangers, and similar "natural" classes benefit from the following Weapon Arts:

Environmental Resonance: Choose one environment from the Horizon Walker terrain list. When in that environment, you gain a +1 bonus to attack and damage with this weapon.

Nature Focus: The weapon counts as a focus component for "natural" casting classes, and you may channel touch spells through the weapon, even choosing to make a normal attack roll instead of a touch attack to benefit from the weapon damage. On a confirmed critical, use the spell's normal critical modifier (usually x2) for increasing spell damage.

Ritual Cutting: If used to coup de grace a creature, you can choose for the execution to be painless. If used to harvest plants, you can choose to have the cut be sealed and in fact will have the cut part regrow at twice its normal speed.
