A rod of summons attunes itself to the power of its wielder. The creatures summoned by the rod, however, are not under control and act under their own accordance and will. Creatures are summoned within a range of 50 feet.

Summons last for 1 minute if the rank is the highest rank the user can summon from or last indefinitely if summoned from a lower rank, until killed, dismissed or until a new summon is summoned. Activating the rod is a [[SRD:Full-Round Actions|full-round action]] to summon or dismiss creatures. Only one creature/set may be summoned at a time. Summoning a new creature/set dismisses the previous one. Summoned creatures are automatically dismissed if they leave a radius of 800 feet from the rod.

Roll a d10 to determine the summoned creature or set. Creatures cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support them. When the creatures appear, they act immediately.
