Rothan[edit]

Many centuries ago, the human species branched off into two. One, the common human, is adaptable and skillful, the other, rothand, are mental elites capable of telekinesis. Over the decades, they interbred with elves and began to share their physical and mental attributes.

Personality[edit]

They behave mostly as humans do, but they are often less rash and more controlled, through not to the extent of elves. They are very often showoffs and tend to have very large egos, as many humans, but can be patient to extents humans cannot, reaching above the levels of half-elves. They are often very frustrated at their emotional extremes, which other races lack. They make the best tyrants, angry and self-centered, quick to punish out of impulse, but capable of schemes that don't mature for years. They are even more ambitious than humans, a Machiavellian race often willing to back-stab any friend for future gain, and do to their far-sightedness often in the distant future unlike humans. They try to calculate everything, and gauge risk for any worthwhile action if they can, but often fail, their human lineage guiding them to be over impulsive (a very bad thing in their eyes). They tend to be cautious of people.

Relations[edit]

They try to relate to elves but can be pushed off as short sighted, through less so than half-elves. They have been known to, and very often relate with drow. The evil among them finding their society fascinating, hoping to engulf elements within their own. The goodly finding their long-sightedness and patience effective. Still they often are found living underground with drow. Humans often look at them with distrust, meddling in forces not often brought upon humans for the short-sightedness.

Alignment[edit]

They lean away from good, but this is a very slight bias. Any alignment is common for them.

Only the good tend to worship the gods. Then, often stuffed up in monasteries their whole lives, they read ancient texts and preserve their racial history. They pray to the scholarly and elven gods.
