: I would argue that this ''is'' VH for this level; part of VH is the ability to bypass encounters or bypass plot points. It's why far-reaching teleportation is VH rather than H. Changing a person's memory, even just 5 miuntes of it, can be almost equal to domination if the player is creative enough, without needing to be re-cast or future chances to save. It can allow you to burst open the plot, and change it utterly, which is definitely VH territory. | : I would argue that this ''is'' VH for this level; part of VH is the ability to bypass encounters or bypass plot points. VH Version[edit]
The small time period and non combat-only casting that takes so long you can't use it to both modify a memory and modify someone's memory of you having modified their memories make this obviously the High balance version of this spell. Has anyone been so far even as to make a proper VH version, not necessarily for core spellcasters? --Foxwarrior (talk) 10:03, 14 June 2019 (MDT)
- I would argue that this is VH for this level; part of VH is the ability to bypass encounters or bypass plot points.
- Honestly, the upgrade to this is mindrape from the BoVD. --Ghostwheel (talk) 10:29, 14 June 2019 (MDT)
- I don't know whether to argue that it's not actually in the definition of High Balance that you're not allowed to redirect the plot, or just to accept that High Balance was a mistake. --Foxwarrior (talk) 14:26, 14 June 2019 (MDT)
