SRD talk:Sai

Damage TypeEdit

Shouldn't a sai deal, like, any kind of damage other than bludgeoning? I'm willing to bet I'm not the only one here who ever watched Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even if I am I would still bet everyone else thinks that a sai is what I think it is: a three-pronged dagger. - TG Cid 18:27, July 1, 2010 (UTC)

I always thought the prongs were dull. Surgo 19:40, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
True enough (TMNT misled me on that front), but I still always thought of the sai as a dagger-like weapon first and foremost, which made me think it would fit more for it to be piercing. - TG Cid 19:51, July 1, 2010 (UTC)
The tip's not particularly sharp (it doesn't always even come to a point). Not to say that being stabbed with a sai wouldn't ruin someone's day, but it's not exactly a dagger, and takes more force for the same result. Also, it's as often held by the prongs to strike with the pommel as it is the other way around. --IGTN 18:10, July 2, 2010 (UTC)
