Spontaneous Arcane Spellcasting Full

Scarred Mage

Every time I draw the very last drop of my power I see their laughing faces, I hear my blood dripping... And that mind consuming pain. Sole reminiscent of all that make the Weave bend so easily under my will.
—Scar covered mage acquiring new abilities

The only sign of surviving the horrors in the past are the scars that covers your body but emotions of this happening traumatize you 'till this very day. Now sole reminiscence of those events alters your ability to bend the Weave. This gives you the power to change features of spells known and even cross the limits stood by his own body.

Becoming a Scarred Mage

Strong emotions coming from traumatizing event enables caster to alter well-known spells' characteristics due to disturbance in Weave caused by yet unknown anomaly. Mage focusing on understanding this anomaly can bend the Weave even further but each such try end hurting caster's either body or soul. Such attempts strengthen Scarred Mage and allows him to cast spells at power much higher that She could withstand. Sole deepening hers understanding ot this phenomena allows becoming Scarred Mage.

Class Features

All of the following are class features of the Scar-based Mage.

Spellcasting: At each level, you gain new spells per day and an increase in caster level (and spells known, if applicable) as if you had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which you belonged before adding the prestige class level. You do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained. If you had more than one arcane spontaneous spellcasting class before becoming a Scar-based Mage, you must decide to which class to add each level for the purpose of determining spells per day, caster level, and spells known.

Spells: To cast a particular spell, you must have an Charisma score of at least 10 + the spell's level. Your bonus spells are based on your Charisma. Saves to avoid the effects of your spells have a DC of 10 + the spell's level + your Charisma bonus (if any).

Bonus Metamagic Feat: She can choose any metamagic feat.

Scar Focus: Focusing on memories connected to scars is strong enough to bend the Weave without using any other spellcasting focus for spell to function. She is always considered to hold a spellcasting focus. Also scars can function as Spell Component of worth up to 1gp.

Reminiscence of Pain: Weave unnaturally bend under Hers will during the reminiscence of past and its easier to control. But during the process immense magic powers cause mind or body (of players choice) to burn. She can deal herself ability damage of her choice during applying meatamagic feats but all damage must by applied to one ability. For each point of damage spell level adjustment is lowered by one.

Carve Scar: Power that comes with Her scars turned Her into applying herself new ones inscribing new emotions inside. At level 2, 4 and 5 She can carve new scars onto her body.Type of emotions and size of scars can bring different effects. Those effect are divided to Lesser, Moderate and Greater. Power of those scars comes from emotions inscribed into them not magic, so they can also be inscribed with magic by spells such as Create Magic Tattoo.

Lesser:

Fear: The emotion that was with you for a long time, almost as a friend, now will be always with you. You gain +1 dodge bonus to AC and you regain your Dex bonus to AC while flat-footed (although effects like Sneak Attack can still occur)

Caution: Pain in this scar reminds you that threat is always near. You can always act normally during enemy surprise round.

Bravery: You cut really close to your veins and arteries and your hand do not shake at all. You gain +3 morale bonus against panicked, frightened, shaken.

Care: Knowing horrors pain can cause you care deeply for those close to you. You can give +1 undefined bonus to Saving Throws to anyone of your choice in 30ft for number of rounds equal to your class level + Cha bonus. You can do this number of times per day equal to your level. Only one bonus can last at a time.

Moderate:

Wrath: While cutting your flesh you howl as the wild beast, raging and destroying what comes upon your path until you lose consciousness. After awakening you cannot remind any of the past events but scar burns with wild flame of wrath. Once per day you can use Aura of Terror as innate ability (not of arcane source). You also gain ability to rage as barbarian do but you do not end exhausted. On top of that you gain ability boost +1 Str.

Desire: By reminding every single affection and desire you felt during your life you let yourself compelled in it.You gain +2 inherent bonus to any social checks against sex you're interested in as well those to whom you fell affection. You also gain Charm Person as spell-like ability times per day equal to your Charisma bonus. Targets which find you attractive have -5 to their Will save. On top of that you gain ability boost +1 Cha.

Pain: You focused fully on blade carving through your skin and on pain which it brought as you were trying for it to be the worst you have ever experienced. For which nothing ever will be as painful as that. You gain 5/- DR. This increases to 15/- DR if damage source is solely based on pain inflicting (either mental or physical). On top of that you gain ability boost +1 Con.

Peace: You controlled yourself completely during the carving and remained tranquil during the process. Once per day you can end any mind-afflicting effect as a free action. On top of that you gain ability boost +1 Wis.

Greater:

Vengeance: The most horrifying emotion, towards ones which caused the initial scars as well as on new acquired ones, is carved once again but now cold and still. You abandon all that was left of human inside you by putting it as fuel for fire of hate and hardened thyself in it. By carving this scar you are making your mind on only one goal. Vengeance. Everything you do is for that purpose. You cannot take any new quest nor move away from your target on large scale if you know of its whereabouts. If those who accompany you won't agree to follow you, you are ought to abandon the party, otherwise you must take Will save of DC 15+1 per day being off track of your nemesis. During the fight with your nemesis you gain significant bonuses. You gain +5 morale bonus on every, skill or ability check, saving throw, AC, attack roll and damage against your target and anyone who stands beside him. You cannot be feared nor mind controlled, every ability damage, exhaustion, poison, disease and every other status taking effect on your body is withstood and take full effect day after the battle. During this day you cannot cure nor dispel those effects. After you achieve on taking revenge you can carve this scar once more on new enemy but you do so only once.

Hate: You kill love inside you. You no longer can feel affection nor attachment to any creature neither you feel any compassion. You cannot be charmed nor mind-controlled by any meanings.

Love: You found love in a hopeless place. It can be towards either partner, family or friend. You can designate up to 5 targets of your emotions. While any one of them is in 1 mile radius from you, you gain +1 Caster Level, +1 DC to your spells and as immediate free action (does not use immediate action) you can sacrifice either your own HP or available spell slot to create barier which protects them from damage equal to sacrificed HP or (spell slot level*5). You can use it number of times equal to your level but only once per round. Despite distance between you, you always know of their condition and current most powerful emotion. If your emotions towards designated person changes or that person simply dies you cannot designate a new one. If all of them dies you fall into despair. You are being deprived of all emotions and because of that all of this class features cease to function.

Hope: You cannot kill hope, even in husk as you. One of the strongest emotions known to any living creature now embodies you. No matter of what source it is you cannot be frightened nor paralyzed . You gain +10 inherent bonus to Escape Artist skill check and any Saving Throw against poison and disease. You cannot die due to injuries or 50 damage kill rule. If you drop below 0 HP you are unconscious but stabilized. Also as a bastion of hope you inspire allies giving them +1 to every roll they do and frighten enemies subtract 1 from their rolls. You can carve this scar only if you didn't take any scar of good considered emotion.

Pain over Weave: While you cast spells via your scars as focus applying metamagic does not lengthen casting time to full-round action but remains standard action. You not only don't need somatic component of spell but also very scream from your bellows can count as verbal component (ex. although being gagged or underwater full force scream count as verbal component).

Accustomed Pain: Pain caused while using your scars and memories has dulled but its strength did not lessened. Being somewhat accustomed to it you do not suffer as much self-dealt damage as you did. Dealing yourself ability damage by applying metamagic lessens level adjustment of every feat by 1 to a minimum of 1 (So 3rd level Fireball under being Widen (+1), Empowered (+2) and Maximized (+3) Feats is considered as adjusted to 7th (+4) level instead of 9 (+6)).
