Its as if you made a pig even more round than normal, and reduced its legs to tiny stubs. It's almost cute how it just bobs around in the water like some inflatable buoy.

The bacon of the sea, sea pigs are just that. They resemble their land cousins, but with even stubbier legs and their bodies are round and puffy due to the bacon scented gas bladders used for buoyancy. They drift around the sea idly, sniffing out various aquatic flora and eating them. Because they barely move most of the time, they can conserve a lot of energy as meat and fat and can hide as random debris to avoid predators.

Sea pigs actually breathe air and are mammals.

Combat[edit]

Sea pigs are not much for a fight, biting enemies and trying to run away. They are not terribly good at it.

Deep Breathing (Ex): A sea pig can hold its breath for 10 minutes per point in Constitution.

Slippery (Ex): A sea pig releases a slick greasy coat when scared. It gains a +10 check against grapple checks.

Stocky Body (Ex): Sea pigs were bred for meat. A sea pig always gains maximum HP per HD.

Animal Companion and Familiar[edit]

Sea pigs can become an animal companion, such as for a druid or ranger.

Sea pigs can be bound as familiars for aquatic campaigns, in which case it has the alignment of its owner. It grants its masters Improved ToughnessCW, even if they don't qualify.
