A semiconscious character may take a single move action or standard action each round (but not both, nor can he take full-round actions). His use of swift actions is not impaired. He moves at half speed (round down to the next 5-foot increment). When taking move actions or swift actions, he doesn't risk falling [[SRD:Unconscious|unconscious]], but performing any standard action (or any other action the DM deems strenuous, including some free actions such as casting a quickened spell) forces the character to make a Will save (the DC being detailed under the source effect's description) or fall [[SRD:Unconscious|unconscious]].

Each round while semiconscious, the character is typically allowed to attempt a Will save instead of any other action to shrug off the effect unless noted otherwise.
