Using this spell, the caster can ensnare a creature's spiritual essence when it dies and capture it in a soul gem. For the creature to be trapped, it needs to be killed while the spell is active, and the caster needs to have a soul gem on his person that is large enough to hold the creature.
If more instances of this spell are active on a single creature when it dies, the 'soul' goes to the spellcaster with the highest caster level. In the case of a tie, opposed caster level checks should be made until a winner is declared.
Focus: An empty soul gem of sufficient capacity.
