Summon Opponent
Conjuration (Summoning) [Air, Chaotic, Earth, Evil, Fire, Good, Lawful, or Water, (see text)]
Level: Sorcerer/Wizard 7, Cleric 7, Bard 7, Druid 7
Components: V, S, F/DF
Casting time: 1 round
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature.
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes

This spell summons a target within close range to another space within close range, unless they succeed on a Will save. It appears where you designate and acts immediately. Since this is not a copy of it, but is actually the real thing, it disappears from its old space as it appear in the designated space. It attacks your opponents to the best of its ability. If you can communicate with the creature, you can direct it not to attack, to attack particular enemies, or to perform other actions.

While summoned, it cannot summon or otherwise conjure another creature, nor can it use any teleportation or planar travel abilities. It cannot be summoned into an environment that cannot support it. Just like with any other Summoning spell, it refuses to cast any spells that cost XP, or use spell-like abilities that would cost XP if they were spells.

When the spell ends or is dispelled, it disappears, stops being summoned, and reappears in the space where it was when you cast this spell. If the space cannot fit it, it doesn't reappear until the space can.

If it would be killed or reduced to 0 or less health while summoned, it is not really dead. Instead, it disappears for 24 hours, then reforms in the space where it was when you cast the spell, with the same delay for insufficient space as stated above. When it reappears, it reappears with full health, and ability damage healed until it has at least 1 in each ability score it possesses.

If a freedom spell is cast while it has disappeared, with it unambiguously identified as the target, the caster may have it reappear in any empty space of the caster's choice within range. This only functions if the spot it would have normally reappeared in is within range of the freedom spell.

If it is an air, chaotic, earth, evil, fire, good, lawful, or water creature, this spell is a spell of that type.

Focus: A silk pocket, removed from a pair of pants, which you turn inside out when casting the spell.
