This actually only took me 4 solid minutes to read, so, you know, not that long of a break during combat for one person to resolve a single action... er... immediate action. Then figuring it out after reading it, which, its got some unnecessary fluff tossed inside the mechanics along with really long run on sentences and extreme parenthetical notes. Which I am not really into. Also, the insulting/patronizing tone is aggravating. The wording is generally on the poor side here, so parsing it isn't particularly easy either. This should be a lot shorter for what is essentially fire shield that does magic damage and costs you two spell slots. No thanks.

This spell is essentially meant to be an offensive counterpart to synostodweomer, if that helps. --Luigifan18 (talk) 22:49, 9 November 2017 (MST)

Close contact[edit]

"Close contact". What? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 01:23, 6 June 2016 (UTC)

It means you're literally making body-to-body contact. --Luigifan18 (talk) 21:23, 9 November 2017 (MST)
We call those "touch spells". Just make the range Touch. - Eiji-kun (talk) 23:40, 9 November 2017 (MST)
A touch spell is one you transmit to someone else via touch. This spell envelops you in an aura of arcane fire that is harmless to you but quite harmful to anyone touching you. So the range of this spell would be more accurately described as "self". I have changed the description accordingly. --Luigifan18 (talk) 23:37, 10 November 2017 (MST)
That would be Personal range, but otherwise yes. Self would go in the "target" area. For that, you may want to consider changing it from "effect" to "target". -- Eiji-kun (talk) 23:45, 10 November 2017 (MST)
