Makes metamagic cooler, but doesn't break it.

This is possibly my favorite variant rule. Even outside of Tome, even in games with spell lists restricted below VH, this variant stands up as an excellent way to make metamagic useful without making it overpowered.


Psionics[edit]

I'm pretty sure that psions don't need this. The Psionic Focus expenditure thing and the bit where psions are happy to cast only powers that cost the maximum number of points solve the problem about as well. --Foxwarrior (talk) 05:19, 27 March 2013 (UTC)
