	Now this is a proper cyst feat for the blasting-oriented.

If this had Mother Cyst as a prerequisite instead, it would probably be fine, although given that the Necrotic Spells are generally one level stronger than normal, Cyst casters don't need much help fighting encysted targets: feats that help them give new people cysts would certainly be more useful. --Foxwarrior (talk) 18:18, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

I'll give the Mother Cyst prerequisite some thought. I debated initially on adding access to the cyst line of spells, and threw it in anyway because Reasons™. I've removed it to be a bit more in keeping with the original intended flavour of the feat, i.e., "you have magic cancer and you spread magic cancer".

To be fair, this feat would also assist with the "giving people new cysts", as the level 0 ability triggers the Necrotic Cyst spell on damage-dealing spells. The intent of the feat is cascading damage with a hint of necromancy at the tail end - hence the higher save DCs and the potential for extra damage on two tiers of the feat. It wasn't meant to be Mother Cyst But Better, just a sort of "damage spell booster with cyst flavour" feat. -- Brainduster (talk) 18:42, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure "Spells you cast can encyst the target, as per the Necrotic Cyst spell" is the most informative description you could use. Does it grant an extra Fortitude save? Does it only take place when the target fails a Fortitude save against the spell? Does it only work on touched creatures? --Foxwarrior (talk) 19:17, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

(y), although it occurs to me that it might be a little bit too easy to give people cysts this way. (Quickened) Magic Cystmissiles, Scrycyst, Locate Cyst City. Remember, Mother Cyst gives you such gems as "Level 2 no save scrying" and "permanent dominate, with suggestion on a successful save". --Foxwarrior (talk) 19:38, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Mm, fortunately, only damage spells can trigger the cystification. Granted, quickened magic cystmissiles are a thing (that sounds awesome), but that's at least keeping it within the realms of blasting. --brainduster (talk) 19:46, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
