6 Saves?

Is it a save each round (making it a save or lose, with a rare chance at death) or one save?

If it's one save, what can stop the effect? How do you save someone from this? -- Eiji-kun (talk) 13:09, 7 April 2015 (UTC)

Bump. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 15:15, 27 February 2016 (UTC)

Well, each round you get hit with what is functionally a worse Baleful Poly, so you could Dispel the progression at least since it's not Permanent. That would leave you in a permanently altered form, but not on the route to death and you could fix the poly in the standard fashion. It's unclear what happens if you reset the polymorph path without dispelling it though. If you polymorphed a reptilian subtyped creature from a T-Rex back to a regular reptilian subtyped creature, it still has 3 rounds of transformations left and ends at a T-Rex maybe? Which is a weird roundabout way to get that sort of permanent change :-/ - Tarkisflux Talk 04:05, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
Hmm, I'm not sure that works. Wouldn't a successful dispel straight up dispel the whole thing, rather than arrest its progression? As far as I can tell it's not Instant... though if it was, I probably would frown at that.
Good point on the trick to turn kobolds into T-rexes. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 04:48, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
I think your right, and I'm just derping. In the absence of text claiming otherwise, Dispel would remove the whole thing just like it does for Baleful. - Tarkisflux Talk 05:52, 28 February 2016 (UTC)
About 2 years late... But I think the intention when I wrote it was multiple saves (since it is high power and not very high). I will update the text. --Aarnott (talk) 07:45, 26 January 2017 (MST)
