:::I think that's a neat idea, Zhenra-Khal. Some ideas: use a standard action to apply eldritch blast damage and essences with your attack (basically, it's a free hideous blow). If you want to get really crazy or add in a second feat, give the ability to use a second essence (since you aren't using a blast shape). I really love this, as it gives more of an "ancestral power" feel to the Warlock, and I wanna see more.~

An interesting feat that adds a new playstyle to the warlock. Might be nice taken with this feat.

Balance Level

I mean, it's a soulknife's mindblade so, what's making it High? Is there a combo I'm missing? Just reads Low to me. That's not a bad thing, it's just that the feat doesn't seem to me to do all that much. Surgo (talk) 16:52, 4 September 2017 (MDT)

I would not say that getting a weapon that bypass all DRs and you cannot lose with additional benefit as low. Maybe moderate. --Leziad (talk) 19:12, 4 September 2017 (MDT)
I missed the bypassing of DR. Yeah, moderate I suppose. I don't think that it being unlosable is all that great, but to each their own of course. Surgo (talk) 20:57, 4 September 2017 (MDT)

Essence Soulsword?

I had wondered if it would be appropriate to allow the Eldritch Blast-user to apply Eldritch Essences to the blade's damage to change damage type/give extra effects? That would bring the feat closer to the High range, since at current I'd say it's a solid Moderate feat. Then again, being able to enchant it is a plus, especially when you can make a pair of Gish Gauntlets that enhance it further, as it's currently written. I dunno, I just think a Flaming Dark Spiral Eldritch Soulsword whose flames are purple/black would be really cool to have. --Zhenra-Khal (talk) 20:23, 4 September 2017 (MDT)

I am open to suggestion and will consider it. I think applying an essence on every strike would make it VH though... hmmm that give me an idea. I will work on it a bit later tomorrow. --Leziad (talk) 20:37, 4 September 2017 (MDT)
