As a variant rule, the way this is written would work out okay. As a feat though, I'd like a lot more focus on what the NPCs you generate can do and are willing to do. It's not like lodging or mundane equipment are actually that valuable (unless you count 50 million gp adamantine doors), while advice and information could be Contact Other Plane-level if there were any actual guidelines on what sort of things the NPC you know knows.

Moderately Unquantifiable

"Cthulhu is rising? I know a guy named Azathoth, he'll fix this guy right up."

This is soooo abusable. And also so vague. It is a feat which permits you to play Mother May I with your DM, and potentially forces your DM to play ball and change the plot at your whims. Not only is that the definition of unquantifiable, I am unsure how the feat can be used practically. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 19:43, 29 August 2018 (MDT)

I added a few stipulations to curtail the abusability (if that's even a word). If you have any other ideas to fix it up, please let me know. -- Halloweenman33 20:53, 29 August 2018 (EST)
Hmmmm.... I don't know if that works (but at least it's unquantifiable now).
This is... a really tricky one. I'm gonna mull on it and see if I can work on something workable that has the same idea on it. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 20:51, 29 August 2018 (MDT)
Ok, I have an idea I got while looking at SRD:Legend Lore and SRD:Vision. So it's like this... 1/week (no need to make this a year, it renders the feat practically wasted with that duration) you can correctly recall someone who fits your needs. So like "I need a guy who sells pepperoni sticks" and you know without fail the closest pepperoni stick salesman. This way the DM has control over the NPCs involved and there is the off chance that you are asking for something impossible. "Turns out there ISN'T anyone capable of arm wrestling Cuthulhu to the ground". You can choose to be wasted or let them try again, that part is mostly irrelevant.
In addition this means that "closest valid person" is both not always friendly, nor are they close. "Yes, you know a guy who sells pepperoni sticks... in the Far Realm, and he's insane, and also a lich. Good luck, but you know how to find him."
That's probably the best way to do it. I recommend an all-time or at will secondary ability that's flavor gravy, so that it's not a dead feat slot in between week long cooldowns of its main power. -- Eiji-kun (talk) 01:02, 30 August 2018 (MDT)
I tweaked it a bit more. Hopefully that should help, but I'll see what else I can do if you think it needs more work. If, on the other hand, you feel that this feat is completely unsalvageable, feel free to just get rid of it. It was just a fun idea I thought of anyway. -- Halloweenman33 12:46, 30 August 2018 (CST)
