If I'm going to shell out 72k for a single weapon, it would be nice if it did something awesome. Which plasma does. It eliminates the silliness of brilliant energy's "haha, your 50k sword can't even damage constructs, undead, or objects!" and ads in some nice flavor. While multiple resistances/immunities are definitely around at the point in the game when this weapon can come into play, they shouldn't be too common, so this is an interesting all-or-nothing effect.

Only minor complaint is that in theory this weapon should shed a considerable amount of light, and should probably be able to ignite flammable objects.

Essentially, this is a Brilliant Energy Shocking + Flaming enhancement, with some more addons for crit fishers (and that's pretty huge--a decent start would be putting a saving throw on the blindness, though that might not be the end). The damage stacks up quickly, and doesn't suffer from the downside of normal Brilliant Energy weapons (where they need to be "turned off" to hit non-living creatures). This should cost considerably more than what it does not.

Yes, +8 or +10... right. That worth 2 million gold... woooo. That like... literally 69 scrolls of wish. --Leziad (talk) 08:24, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Sorry this is inaccurate, if it a +8 it worth 1,620,000 which is slightly less scroll of wishes. A +10 though is worth something like 26 million if im reading the guidelines correctly. --Leziad (talk) 08:29, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Not sure how this weapon "spams" the blindness that lasts for 1 whole round when the blindness only procs on a confirmed crit. --Spanambula (talk) 08:37, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Didn't notice it was on a crit, but still, +5d6 damage for "just" another +1? :-/ --Ghostwheel (talk) 08:49, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Yeah sure it strong, but we have a couple of thing to consider, +5 enhancement on weapons cost I think 71k and must be applies late in the game. It very strong compared to say most SRD enhancement, but compared to splat enhancement like force (lol no DR ever) and splitting (double your number of attacks) it pretty modest for a +5. --Leziad (talk) 08:52, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
I would say Splitting is the overpowered exception that's usually banned in games, and should not be used as the standard. Force is nice, but it can just as easily be close to 50 damage lost per round compared to other enhancements, so I think it's fine. --Ghostwheel (talk) 09:17, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
