Medium and Heavy

"When wearing a scrap plate you take penalties as if you wearing heavy armor and your speed is reduced as if you wearing heavy armor."

Does this mean you actually require Heavy Armor Prof to wear this, and if so, why isn't it just Heavy Armor?

No, it requires medium armor proficiency. As for being heavy armor over medium armor for movement, it speed would not be improved by Medium Armor Mastery and a Barbarian wearing it would lose fast movement. I will clarify. --Leziad (talk) 17:49, 29 November 2021 (UTC)
