I feel as though this gives a bit too much of either class. While I'm all for multiclass feats, I don't feel as though they should make either class redundant, which I feel this does for the most part.

How does it make them redundant? Zhenra-Khal (talk) 15:49, 14 December 2016 (MST)

The most appealing things about the soulknife are the psychic strike damage and the enhancements. The most appealing things about the warlock are the eldritch blast damage and the invocations--though I'm not clear on whether this gives you higher-level ones. If the latter is not the case, then this feat with only a very small dip into soulknife and exclusively warlock after that makes the soulknife redundant. If it is the case, then going either way will make the other redundant. --Ghostwheel (talk) 15:56, 14 December 2016 (MST)
Considering both classes rely heavily on one ability, it's difficult for an author to make a multiclass feat for the two that doesn't make one or the other redundant. If I was going to do it over, you choose either Hexmind, advancing Warlock invocations and damage with Soulknife's blade shape advancements (Shape mind blade, bladewind) OR Sword Witch, advancing Soulknife's mind blade enhancements, psychic strike damage, and Warlocks DR and/or Fiendish resilience. That or reduce the advancement to half. Idk. It's a feat I made as a prerequisite for this so. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 16:06, 14 December 2016 (MST)
Soulknife is such a garbage class that this basically turns it into 1 class level investment and a feat. And I am...completely okay with that. Surgo (talk) 16:13, 14 December 2016 (MST)
I hate that Soulknife sucks as badly as it does. It should be better, and conceptually.... But for that matter, look at Incarnum Blade. Shadowcaster. Conceptually good, mechanically terrible. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 16:16, 14 December 2016 (MST)
@Surgo: I'm not. It's a decent class for low-level games. You want to turn it into a dip? Make an ACF for the warlock that gives that stuff for free. But I don't like making classes utterly redundant.
@Zhenra-Khal: If you want to fix it, in my opinion, making it advance damage reduction and fiendish resilience from the warlock, and only mind blade enhancement on the soulknife side. Or something like that. I think that would allow both classes not to become completely redundant, and have benefits of multiclassing between them. But as it stands, it's giving virtually everything a class has to another class by simply investing a feat and a class level or two, making it almost gestalt which isn't a good thing in my book. --Ghostwheel (talk) 16:19, 14 December 2016 (MST)
Master Spelltheif lets your Spelltheif levels advance your arcane casting from another class AND cast both your arcane spells from that other class and your stolen spells in light armor without issue, if I remember. It's overpowered and makes further Wizard levels redundant. Multiclass feats are easy to mess up. Zhenra-Khal (talk) 16:23, 14 December 2016 (MST)
There also good homebrew version of the soulknife, although they wouldn't work with this feat. It fine sometime to make levels in really bad classes redundant, although I would prefer not having bad class in the first place. Also shameless plug Eldritch Soulsword. --Leziad (talk) 17:40, 14 December 2016 (MST)
Ghost, this feat is High-level. It won't appear in a Low-level game. Surgo (talk) 18:44, 14 December 2016 (MST)
