Witchfinder[edit]

There have always been arcane magic users, and they represent one of the greatest threats that a martial arts practitioner can face. Wielding deadly powers, and able to ends fights with just a single spell, it is unsurprising that practically every martial art style teaches some way of dealing with arcanists - even if it can be summed up by 'stab them in the back while they're not looking'. However, those that have been wronged by arcane casters in the past have developed a style that is dedicated exclusively to finding, fighting and exterminating arcane casters. The practitioners of this style call themselves witchfinders, and the style is named after them.

Originally founded by Sir Edward Grey, who was an unfortunate victim [add more here]

Learning Witchfinder: Witchfinders train with the weapons of technology, as they believe that these are the least likely to be messed up with magic. Despite frequent evidence to the contrary, this has yet to fall out of fashion, and thus, training with blackpowder weapons and crossbows remains a large part of the martial training of any witchfinder. Iron and its anti-magical properties form a central part of a witchfinder's training, and the various uses of iron talismans in fighting and defeating arcanists are studied extensively. Another very difficult part of a witchfinder's training involves becoming sensitive to magic, particularly arcane magic, and learning how to sense and disrupt it while it is being used. It is not uncommon for the training to be conducted by knightly or religious orders, although many witchfinders also take on apprentices.

Style Weapons: Any blackpowder weapon, any crossbow, any weapon with 'sword' in its name

Style Bonus: You have a constantly-active detect magic as part of your normal vision, which doesn't require concentration. Simply looking at something for the required amount of time gives you the same information that detect magic would, although you may have to look longer to get all the information you need. This is a supernatural ability.

Style Skills: Arcana, Perception

DC Ability Score: Wisdom or Charisma
