| It's really badly balanced. Fly speed is probably the worst offender. These should really scale with level like raptorans or something.

| Great googaw, the things these guys can do for LA0 ECL 1. Perfect flight, burrow through stone, 60 foot swim speed… 40 feet of illumination. Yeah, they don't match up to each other. Also, why have them be Outsiders and then count as Elementals and not Outsiders? Heck, the base stats before each elemental type are pretty good. Straight forward flavor, easy to read but crap, those mechanics. Look elsewhere for playable elemental characters.

| Leziad covered it, but the variants aren't well balanced to each other in general I find. Its almost a dislike, but the air elemental fly speed pushes it to oppose.
