Baleful Transformation
Warlock Dark; 9th

You use your baleful magic to turn a creature into an object out of medium range, the targeted creature is allowed a Will save to negate the effect. On a failure, the creature is transformed into an object of the creature's former size or up to 3 size categories smaller at the warlock's choice. The affected creature loses its type, subtype, class features and any abilities. The creature is treated as though it were an object. The object can be made of stone, crystal, base metals (iron, copper, bronze, etc.), vegetable matter, clay and other low value materials although it can be ornate with more precious material in small quantity. The object hardness and hit point is based on it material, thickness and size. The object total value can be no higher than 50 gp per hit dice the creature had. After 1d4 round spent as an object the creature is allowed another will save to end the effect, if it fail the effect become instantaneous.

As a free action, the warlock may decide to restore any number of the creature's mental ability scores, senses (such as touch, smell, sight, hearing, etc.) and even restore its ability to speak. The warlock may not restore any type, subtype or class features in this manner. The creature has access to any of its mental skills as long as it's corresponding mental ability score was restored by the warlock (A creature whose Intelligence was restored could make Knowledge checks). Taking away anything given by this ability is a free action.

Additionally this invocation can be used to affect objects. As a full-round action the warlock may use this invocation to replicate the effect of animate objects or bestow sentience. If she uses her animate objects ability on a creature she turned into an object with this ability, it is considered to be dominated (even if it normally would be immune). She cannot use her bestow sentience on creature she transformed into objects with this ability.

The effect is broken by a break enchantment spell or stronger effect, returning the creature to it normal form. The warlock who used baleful transformation may also reverse the effect with a 1 minute ritual. If the object is destroyed, the creature is effectively dead. This invocation is botha curse-effect and a form altering effect, creature that are immune to but not both are not immune to the effect of Baleful Transformation but receive a +4 bonus on their saving throw. A creature immune to both are immune to this invocation.
