1. See Damage Increases by Size to calculate the damage for a weapon larger than Medium or smaller than Small.
2. Weight figures are for Medium weapons. A Small weapon weighs half as much, and a Large weapon weighs twice as much.
3. When two types are given, the weapon is both types if the entry specifies "and", either type (player's choice at time of attack) if the entry specifies "or", or each end of the double weapon is a different type if the entry specifies "/".
4. The hp value given is for Medium armor, weapons, and shields. Divide by 2 for each size category of the item smaller than Medium, or multiply it by 2 for each size category larger than Medium.

A baroqueblade

"What if we took a spiky wrought iron baroque fence and strapped it to a square executioner's sword?" And thus the baroqueblade was born. Shorter, but no less dense, and heavy as a greatsword, this weapon seems somewhat impractical, as it consists of a sharp square blade whose edge is lined with sawtooth points not unlike the points of a gothic iron fence. Indeed the entire body is often engraved and forged into incredibly fantastical, complex, but functionally meaningless designs. A baroqueblade is too large to use in one hand without special training; thus, it is an exotic weapon. A character can use a baroqueblade two-handed as a martial weapon.

Those with appropriate Exotic Weapon Proficiency gain access to the following Weapon Arts.

  • Hook On: You can hook your blade onto surfaces with hardness less than its own, allowing you to use it to climb, grab on, and grapple with. You may use the weapon one-handed in a grapple at a -4 penalty as if it were a light weapon.
  • Sword Trap: You gain a +2 on checks made to Disarm and Sunder weapons, and you may ready an action to catch an incoming weapon attack up to one size larger than yourself. If you do, you may attempt to disarm or sunder without provoking attacks of opportunity.
  • Tearing Rend: If you have used Hook On to successfully make a grapple check, have successfully confirmed a critical hit, or are making a single attack as a standard action, you automatically deal an additional 1d10 piercing/slashing damage.

The weapon is very receptive to causing bleed damage. On any attack that causes bleed, increase the bleed amount by +1 when made with this weapon.
