|Conjuration (Summoning) [Animal]|
|Components:||V, S, F|
|Casting time:||1 round|
|Area:||2-mile-radius circle, centered on you; see text|
The sky cracked with thunder and the distant sound of a roar rumbled over the landscape. Suddenly, it began raining bears!
You summon all the bears forever, as they literally rain from the sky, crawl out of the ground, and creep out of the shadows until bears cover the entire land in a 2-mile radius from the point you cast this spell. The bears are under your control, and you can direct them to focus their ire on certain targets or ignore other targets. Effectively, all opponents in the area suffer difficult terrain, and they take 8d8 points of damage per round, and they suffer 20% concealment to any ranged attacks from all the bears. Your allies or other creatures they are instructed to ignore do not suffer from these penalties as the bears move out of the way for you. The damage bypasses DR/magic.
Any time during the duration, you can take a standard action to focus the bears en masse on a single target. You can make a grapple check using your caster level as your BAB and your Wisdom as your effective strength for your grapple check.
Though there is nothing particularly special about the bears, there are so many that there is no point in killing them, as more just fill in the empty space. Area effects which deal at least 100 damage clears the area of bears for only 1 round before it fills back in.
Focus: A teddy bear.
