A faint flicker of multi-hued sparks twinkled about as the two wands touched.
"Here's your wand back." Dirkish declared. "I only took enough to get me through the temple. When we're done, I'll give you back whatever I've got left, mate."
While most wands just become non-magical sticks after their charges are expended, a blank wand is actually a magic item itself that also functions as a wand, if it has charges put into it that is.
A blank wand can store up to 50 charges of the same kind, just as any other wand could. However, a blank wand isn't created enchanted as a wand. A blank wand gains charges by drawing them from another wand. The wielder of a blank wand may, as a standard action, draw charges from another wand in his possession and place those charges into the blank wand with a touch, deciding how many charges he would like to transfer. He may only charge the blank wand if the charges being put into it are the same spell as any charges currently in the blank wand or if the blank wand is empty of all charges. Conversely, a blank wand can transfer, instead of draw, any remaining charges it carries back into another wand of the same spell so long as that wand has at least 1 charge remaining in it or is itself an empty blank wand.
If the wielder of a blank wand isn't aware of how many charges remain in a wand he is drawing from, he may inadvertently attempt to draw more than it has, draining it entirely. In addition, he can't transfer charges into a wand beyond the normal maximum of 50 charges.
